Conveyor technology for heavy loads

Conveyor technology for heavy loads

What moves us and what we love to move is heavy loads! Our engineers and technicians appriciate everything that is heavy, and this is what makes us different from other conveyor technology manufacturers. Where others have to throw in the towel – in most cases the standards end with a useful load of 1,200 kg – that is where our focal point begins. H+H Herrmann + Hieber has decades of vast experience with heavy loads.

In contrast to lighter useful loads, with heavier ones it is essential, with every component, to think out the force variations and load conditions precisely in order to guarantee the durability of our conveyor technology, as has been proved in more than 1,000 projects.  Every new component is examined for weak-points and the various load situations are checked on computers by our experienced team before the designs progress to production. In that way our equipment has a useful life of several decades.  A retrofit carried out after around 20 to 30 years can then extend the life for up to 50 years.  So an investment in our technology demonstrably pays for itself.

The useful load we most often have to move is 2,000 kg. This, for example, is the upper limit in the aluminium extrusion industry, where skips are filled with aluminium sections by our vertical conveyors, automatic cranes and chain conveyors inside large factory bays.

For particularly heavy cases we also have tried and tested solutions in our range. For example, for the company Alzner Automotive in Grafenau we installed a conveyor unit, including special vertical conveyors and an automatic crane, for dies weighing 7,000 kg.
