As part of a major investment in a 35-MN extrusion press unit at Aluminium Laufen, H+H Herrmann + Hieber has now been awarded the contract for a combination stacking unit, with which both sections in racks and also round material can be stacked in hexagonal bundles.

Logistics automation without interrupting on-going operations

Since 2005 H+H Herrmann + Hieber has supplied the Tuttlingen plant of the Swabian foundry (SHW Automotive GmbH) with, and installed, a variety of equipment for automated material transport in the brake-disc production facility – most recently in January 2013. SHW wants the next automation step to be implemented without any stoppages.

Stuttgarter Verlagskontor SVK GmbH builds a second high-bay warehouse – with H+H responsible for the conveyor technology

Contract announcement, April 2013. The new high-bay warehouse currently being built by Stuttgarter Verlagskontor SVK GmbH in Korb is connected by a tunnel to the already existing warehouse in Korb. Logistics specialist H+H Herrmann +Hieber GmbH is supplying the transport technology, including the deposition and removal stations.

H+H automates chip clearing system for a slab scalping machine

Contract announcement, February 2013: Before being hot-rolled, continuously cast rolling slabs are machined on a slab scalping machine to remove the as-cast surface layer from both flat sides. This machining operation generates more than 300 kilograms of chips per minute. H+H is assisting a noted aluminium rolling plant with the installation of an automated, trouble-free chip disposal system which separates out the alloys.
