Now that the logistics system at the warehouse of the trading company Miles GmbH has been operating reliably for decades a renovation has become necessary, the replacement parts were no longer available. As the supplier of the equipment, H+H has developed a tailor-made solution for this.
As a global sourcing company Miles GmbH is one of the market-leading wholesalers in Germany. Since 2008 Miles has been a subsidiary of the Li & Fung group, one of the largest trading groups in the world. For numerous retailers in Germany and elsewhere the company is a reliable trading partner for a varied and growing product range. With a staff of some 440 worldwide, it achieves a turnover or around 230 million euros.
For the central warehouse at the company’s headquarters in Norderstedt, H+H originally supplied and installed the internal logistics system. Now, after decades of reliable operation, the telescopic forks of the transport trolley have to be replaced, but those components were no longer available. In such a case, for H+H as a trustworthy equipment partner the problem was to provide at least as effective a solution.
In this case design changes on the distribution trolley were proposed, by virtue of which telescopic forks as they are designed today can be used.
